About PNA

Prahran Netball Association Inc., is affiliated with Netball Victoria and became an incorporated Association in 1987.

The Prahran Netball Association Inc. was established in 1983 and took as its slogan "Fun, Fitness and Friendship". In full co-operation with the Prahran Council, we commenced competitions on Sundays on the Cato Street car park (behind Coles in Chapel Street, Prahran). With four courts and a portable administration and 'comfort' van, competitions were initially provided for ladies only. We then added mixed, men's and junior competitions. After 5 years we established an office at the new centre and courts at Chapel-on-Chapel, with competitions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, for mixed and ladies. Over the years we have utilised a number of indoor venues in the area, including Wesley College, Stonnington Church of Christ (Ardoch), Orrong-Romanis, Melbourne High School and, more recently, Bialik Sports Centre.

In 2003 we moved administration once again, to Orrong-Romanis and from this Centre we continue to provide competitions at our established venues. From 1997 Juniors has become an integral part of the association with programs such as Net-Set-Go, Rookies, 11s,  13s, 15s,  and 17s. We currently have junior representative teams in four age groups - 11/Under, 13/Under,  15/Under,and 17/Under.

We conduct annual umpire courses and updates and we will continue to run coaching courses; taking into account the ever-increasing number of junior teams and the high demand from interested parents and teachers.

Our seniors programs continue to be played in the evenings and the 17/Under grade has now become a part of our senior competitions.

Prahran Netball Association Inc., is committed to provide appropriate programs and administration for its members, both juniors and seniors.
