State titles

About:

Regional State Titles are run by Netball Victoria annually (usually in October) and offer a fantastic opportunity for association based netballers to come together and compete. The competition levels are: Open, 17&U, 17&U Male, 15&U and All Abilities.

Structure:

All associations across Victoria are grouped into regions (19 in total). The regions are then grouped into six zones as outlined below.

ZONE REGIONS

  1. Northern Zone: Sunraysia, Murray, Wimmera Mallee and North Central

  2. Western Zone: Glenelg, Western & Central Highlands

  3. Central West Zone: Jika, Elmer and Barwon

  4. Central East Zone:  Dandenong Valley, Chisholm, Henderson and Two Bays

  5. North East Zone:  Goulburn and North East

  6. Eastern Zone:  East Gippsland, Gippsland and Latrobe Valley

Stonnington City Netball Association is affiliated with the Henderson Region and the Central East Zone.

All affiliated netball associations, in each region, can participate in their region’s trials.

How it works:

Each year, the associations in each region get together and run trials to select players from all eligible associations in their region. Each association is represented on the Henderson Committee. Henderson Trials generally happen in late May and June each year. Selected players form teams to represent the Henderson region at the State Titles (a weekend tournament) that is held in October each year.

Player Eligibility: To be eligible to represent a region a player must play a minimum of six (6) matches for the Association in the Region between 1 January of the competition year and prior to State Titles. Players may only represent one region. All SCNA Storm Representative level players in 15&U, 17&U and Open are eligible to trial for one of these teams and we encourage all interested players from this group to do so.
